Geography & Demographics

Malaysia is a federal constitutional monarchy situated in Southeast Asia, consisting of Peninsular Malaysia on the Malay Peninsula and East Malaysia on the island of Borneo, separated by the South China Sea.
The country spans approximately 330,800 km², with coastlines totaling about 4,675 km.
As of 2024–2025, the population stands around 34.1 million, including roughly 3.4 million non-citizens.

Political Structure

The capital is Kuala Lumpur, while Putrajaya serves as the administrative center housing executive and judicial functions.
Malaysia operates as a federal constitutional monarchy, headed by a rotational King (Yang di-Pertuan Agong), and led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Economy & Trade

Malaysia boasts a dynamic industrialized economy, ranking among the world’s top 40 by nominal GDP.
Key sectors include manufacturing, exports (notably semiconductors, palm oil, LNG), and services.
The country is a leading semiconductor exporter and recently launched a US $100 billion investment plan to strengthen its tech-manufacturing capabilities
